I like how ads on other sites are either temu crack pipe trash or shit like “do you need Jesus?” or very rarely “what if shit’s aliens”, but on tumblr it’s AI generated bullshit illustrated captions like “once I stopped smoking crack I understood that aliens need Jesus. Find out how to have the secrets of the universe revealed to you. Start running.”
I love having online friends from other countries. You can learn about something that alledgedly is a thing over there, and just go on discord and ask “hey have you ever had a carp in your bathtub?” and get an answer like “no, but my grandparents did at least once.”
Reading this post is a great example of my pov when I remember that snow is a real thing that exists during winter for some people and not just exclusively on fictional mountain tops
